Nowitzki suspended one game for hitting Harpring

Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks has been suspended one game without pay for striking Utah Jazz forward Matt Harpring in the face, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. Nowitzki was initially charged with a Flagrant Foul Penalty Two, which carries with it an automatic ejection.
